Our Story

Triumph, Inc. was founded in 2009 by Ann Ede and Jennifer Barnard. Ann and Jennie met in college, where they discovered a shared passion for supporting people with disabilities in achieving the life they want and deserve. After working in the field for a few years postgraduation, they were approached by someone who believed that they could fill a niche in the community and was willing to back them financially. Ann and Jennie took the leap of faith, and together the three of them founded Triumph, Inc.

Over the years, Triumph, Inc. has grown significantly. We have evolved from managing the organization over dinner at Applebee's, to renting a meeting space, to buying our own building and renovating it to meet the needs and preferences of our people. Ann and Jennie bought out their silent partner, took full responsibility for Triumph, Inc., and eventually have become able to share that with a team of passionate and dedicated administrative and direct support staff. We have figured out which programs we are best fit to serve and have developed those programs in balance with the regulations of our accreditors and the personal goals and interests of the people we support.

We may look different now than we did in the beginning, but the core values that compelled the foundation of Triumph, Inc. continue to guide us today. We leave our doors open, metaphorically and literally, in pursuit of transparency and trust; we work together as a team to support each person in achieving their goals; we actively engage with our community and give back through volunteer service; we commit to giving the people we support choice in their lives while maintaining high quality; and we celebrate every success, big or small, together.

Our impact is made possible by the people who come together to support us. We are deeply grateful to the community members and organizations who have partnered with us throughout the years to provide the people we serve maximum opportunity to live independent, involved lives in pursuit of what is meaningful to them. Thanks to your collaboration, we are able to provide service without walls that allows us to triumph together.
