Position Summary
The Training and Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and delivering employee training and organizational development initiatives. This role focuses on promoting high-quality, person-centered supports aligned with Triumph’s commitment to choice, community, and continuous improvement. The Specialist builds strong relationships with employees and individuals supported, ensuring training is engaging, accessible, and effective for a variety of learning styles. This position also supports quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, and organizational accreditation efforts. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Job Functions
• Obtain and maintain certification to train Therapeutic Response and CPR/First Aid.
• Facilitate required trainings for employees, including DD Modules, First
Aid/CPR, NAME, and Therapeutic Response.
• Monitor and ensure completion of all required trainings within established
timelines (DD Modules, First Aid/CPR, medication administration, NAME, and
Therapeutic Response).
• Maintain accurate training records and generate training compliance reports.
• Attend state and regional trainer meetings (North Dakota, Minot State, NDACP)
and communicate updates, changes, and best practices to leadership and
staff.
• Support and participate in CQL Accreditation activities, including
documentation, communication, and follow-up.
• Participate in Basic Assurances Committee meetings and collaborate with
CQL representatives.
• Oversee documentation and service records to ensure compliance and
quality service delivery.
• Review Overall Service Plans to ensure alignment with DD requirements and
quality support standards.
• Participate in Quality Assurance Response System (QARS) and DD Monitoring
and Training processes.
• Ensure compliance with QARS requirements and provide education and
guidance to staff.
• Assist Program Coordinators and On-Call Supervisors in reviewing and
assessing GERs to ensure adherence to QARS guidelines.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions and module classes as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all mandatory reporting requirements related to
abuse, neglect, mistreatment, and exploitation.
• Participate in investigations as directed by Protection and Advocacy and/or
organizational leadership.
• Serve as a member of the Human Rights Committee, as needed, supporting
due process and the rights of individuals served.
• Promote and uphold organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintain active membership and participation in a Service Club.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Intellectual and Developmental
Disabilities field and/or clerical/administrative experience.
• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Services, or a related
field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications (CPR/First Aid,
Therapeutic Response, NAME, and required training modules).
